Welcome to Parable! These Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Parable application and any related services (collectively, the “Application”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Application.
By accessing or using the Parable Application, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and other federal and state-specific health privacy laws and regulations relevant to your jurisdiction and use of the Application. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the Parable Application. The materials and content contained in this Application are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
IMPORTANT: The Parable Application is a digital tool designed to support skin and wound care management. It is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional for any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, and do not disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or accessed through this Application.
If you are using the Application on behalf of your employer (e.g., a healthcare provider, clinic, or institution), your use may also be governed by a separate Master Services Agreement (“MSA”) or Business Associate Agreement (“BAA”) between Parable and your employer. In such cases, the terms and conditions of the MSA or BAA shall supersede any conflicting terms in this Agreement. If you are an individual user not affiliated with an employer using the Application, these Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Parable regarding your use.
Parable and our affiliates own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Parable Application. Permission is granted to use the materials (information, software, and content) within the Parable Application solely for its intended purpose: personal health management (for patients and caregivers) or professional healthcare services (for clinicians and healthcare organizations). This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Parable at any time. Upon termination of your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format, except for any personal health information or patient data that you can demonstrate that you are legally entitled or required to retain.
Our services may include third party software, products, or services, (“Third Party Services”). Third Party Services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
The materials and services on Parable’s Application are provided “as is.” Parable makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. We do not warrant that the Parable Application will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free, or that any content will be secure or not lost or altered. The materials appearing on Parable’s Application could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Users acknowledge that the Application’s content may not always be exhaustive or error-free and should not be used as the sole basis for critical medical decisions or clinical judgments.
FURTHER, PARABLE DOES NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS CONCERNING THE ACCURACY, LIKELY RESULTS, OR RELIABILITY OF THE USE OF THE MATERIALS OR INFORMATION ON ITS APPLICATION OR OTHERWISE RELATING TO SUCH MATERIALS OR ON ANY SITES LINKED TO THIS SITE. THE INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE PARABLE APPLICATION IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT INTENDED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. USERS SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT WITH A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL FOR ANY HEALTH CONCERNS OR BEFORE MAKING ANY DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR HEALTH OR TREATMENT.
Parable also disclaims all liability for any interruptions, delays, or technical inaccuracies related to the Application, internet connectivity, or user devices that may impact the functionality or accessibility of the Application.
To the maximum extent permitted under law, in no event shall Parable or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption, or for any medical outcomes, clinical decisions, personal injury, or death resulting from the use or misuse of the Application or reliance on its content), arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Parable’s website or Application, even if Parable or a Parable authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
Some countries and states do not allow the disclaimer of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so some or all of the terms above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights. In that case, these Terms only limit our responsibilities to the maximum extent permissible in your country of residence.
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and our personnel, from and against any costs, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) from third party claims arising out of or relating to your use of the Parable Application or any violation of these Terms.
Parable has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet Application and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Parable of the site. Use of any such linked application is at the user’s own risk.
Parable may revise these Terms of Use for its Application at any time. For material changes to these Terms, Parable will endeavor to provide reasonable notice to users (e.g., via in-app notification, email to registered users, or a prominent notice on our website) before the changes become effective. By continuing to use this Application after such revisions become effective, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.
Any claim relating to Parable’s Application shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Your privacy is critically important to us, especially given the sensitive nature of health information. This Application Terms and Conditions of Use incorporates by reference our comprehensive Privacy Policy, which details how Parable collects, uses, protects, and discloses your personal information, including any Protected Health Information (PHI) we may handle. Our Privacy Policy also outlines your rights regarding your data and our commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your information.

The Parable Application is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use the Application with the express consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using this Application, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements.
If you accessed or downloaded the Application from any app store or distribution platform (like the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), you acknowledge and agree that you are also bound by the terms and conditions of that app store. These Terms are between you and Parable only, and not with the app store.
In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, or the use of the Application (collectively, “Disputes”), the parties shall first attempt to resolve the Dispute through good faith negotiation.
It is mandatory that any Dispute that cannot be resolved through negotiation shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in New York, New York. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator. You and Parable agree that any arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms and any attempt to do so will be void. We may assign our rights or obligations under these Terms to any affiliate, subsidiary, or successor in interest of any business associated with our Application.
Parable may make changes to the materials contained on its Application at any time without notice. Parable does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.
These Terms contain the entire agreement between you and Parable regarding the Application and supersedes any prior or contemporaneous agreements between you and Parable.
